ABOUT
Colored Theory is a social media campaign created by myself and two peers during my undergraduate studies at The University of Minnesota Duluth. The campaign's name is a play on words, referencing both black artists and Color Theory (a set of color principles universally known by graphic designers). Colored Theory uses eye-catching graphics to highlight black artists while addressing the lack of diversity within the design community. Within this project, my role was to create captivating, colorful graphics to pair with captions and stories about specific artists of color. As a half-black artist myself, this project and mission are very personal to me. This campaign was active on both Facebook and Instagram platforms.
